Articulating Booms - Bi-Energy and Electric
Terex offers Bi-Energy and Genie DC machinery which are emission-free and provide quiet operation for the most sensitive work applications. Like for instance, in industrial situations where the equipment must travel significant distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the versatility and advantages of a diesel fueled generator with a 48 Volt DC machine.
Some of the key features provided by this combination include out, up and over positioning capabilities for complete versatility. In addition, the zero tail-swing provided by nearly all models, combined with the tight turning radius provides easy maneuvering through standard doors and narrow aisles.
The drive and proportional controls provide the equipment with precise boom positioning and smooth drive performance. For emission free and quiet operation suitable for sensitive settings, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models on the market to function with an additional working range for specific jobs. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform that rotates ninety degrees to either side.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
Genie machinery by Terex are ideal for both outdoor and indoor construction applications. This model provides engine-powered articulating Z booms which combine over, up and out positioning capabilities and extreme lifting versatility overall. Diesel engine machinery on nearly all modes have an articulating boom that provides zero tail-swing with a small turning radius. These machines are great in small or narrow locations. Furthermore, they offer grade and terrain maneuverability, utmost power and exceptional torque. The diesel engines are generally quiet too. Nearly all models have active oscillating axle and full time drive positive drive traction system to offer great flexibility on surfaces that are rough and uneven.
High ground clearance is provided in 2 or 4 wheel drive models, while the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom models are available and offer extra range capabilities. On non-jib models, the self-leveling platform also rotates to ninety degrees on these models too.
